The Petes should be starting to trickle into the company driver pool. A lot of our leases are done this year. Mine is done in October.

What a day! State trooper at one of bug stations in FL was messing with me. He asked what I was hauling and I picked the first thing my bolts and said Starbucks coffee. He then said, "Starbucks, eh? Driver we need to to pull off to the side so SF can inspect your cargo." I reply, "seriously!?!?!" He said, "no, get out of here."

2 RVers rowing other vehicles almost took my hood with their cars on the interstate today, I got on the air horn and they speed up like nothing happened. I'm now seriously thinking about mounting a dash cam in my truck to protect myself and central. I don't know why central just doesn't put dash cams in anyway. I call those cheap insurance at only about $200 each. Look how much they can save from a lawsuit or settlement.

Parked now at the petro on I 75 ex 368 in FL. No iron skillet former tonight! They have a bbq place right across the street

Hi all, my husband is just about done with training and I am getting a little curious about how he will get a truck. I have seen the posts about lots of guys waiting around for trucks, and it worries me a bit. Any tips I can pass along to him to help him get in a truck quickly?

If they ask him to recover a truck, do it. If they ask to put him on a bus to another terminal, do it. You get the picture. :yes2557:

Thanks, that makes sense. Anything he can do proactively (contact someone, go to a particular place, etc.)? Or just be ready for whatever they ask?

Ahh, that was too high up in LA I was down on the 10 now in FL. Ill have to try and hit that place on the way out of here.

Just ate 3/4 rack of ribs, beans, cole slaw, and 2 pieces of garlic bread for about $10. I'm stuffed! Far better than the iron skillet.

LadyK, I am sure as a husband/wife team you guys will get your pick of the litter. There do order certain trucks for lease and certain ones for company drivers.

    Lady K Thanks this.
