1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Hi, looking for OTR job. Out 3-4 weeks not a problem. Have not driven in two years because of wife's fight with breast cancer. Attended CDL school in March '08. Drove for Arrow solo for 6 months. Clear driving record. Have had 3 alcohol offenses. Last one 15 years ago. Prefer flatbed. Thanks.

is hersey close to detroit? i can think of some decent steel hauling companies around there. red cap transport, capacity transport, P I and I motor express, Tandem Transport, there are more, i just cant remember right now.

just go down to a rest area next to your local highway/expressway, and write down all the names of the trucks going by with covered wagons, b trains, and 6 axle sled flatbeds. then come back, look them up online, and give them a call. thats what i do when i want info on a company.

Thanks. No, I don't live anywhere near Detroit. I live in what most people would call the "boonies"

About an hour North of Grand Rapids, and an hour east of Ludington. Not exactly a hot bed of activity. As I said, my driving record is clear, and only one dwi shows on my Michigan State Police ICHAT criminal record.

yeah, i would probably start looking around grand rapids at the sleds being pulled through there, i know grand rapids has some steel action going on around there. just look in the phone book under "steel, or steel service" even. or "trucking, heavy haul"...
