The Poe Mystery person did his thing for sixty years ! He appeared from 1949 to 2009 but did not appear for the first time in 2010 and again, yesterday (18 January), in 2011. So, if the story is true, then, why don't his sons have respect for literature and tradition?

OR ...
Why not develop a new Mystery Poe Visitor person since the job seems to be open now?

As Denzel Washington said in the movie, Training Day, "King Kong ain't got nothing on me".
Richmond, Virginia is not amused and thinks that Baltimore, Maryland has nothing on them ...

Okay, it sounds like he's dead and his sons have no respect ...

Is that the "tell-tale heart" as your avatar?

Ha, Ha ... that's good thinking.
No, that spinning heart was up there long before the submission of the story about the mystery visitor to Poe's grave in Baltimore, Maryland.
If you click on my profile, you will see something else promoting the upcoming 2011 Valentine's Day.

Just got here, but I can assure you that Edgar Allan Poe was one of the greatest American authors, right up there with Jack London, Mark Twain (Samuel Langhorne Clemens), Herman Melville, etc. Don't know what this thread's about, haven't bothered to check the links while on the fly, but anybody who disrespects Edgar Allan Poe in any way clearly hasn't read much of anything, let alone Poe's classic short stories. If I'm off route here, fine, squawk about it, just don't diss my boy Edgar within my hearing, "10-DASH-FO'?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?".
