I was recently let go from us express, my dac report states that I am not rehirable and I was discharged for unsatisfactory safety record. My dac report shows only 3 minor preventable accidents. Will this prevent me from getting re-hired from another company?

yeah that's pretty much the end of the game as far as a large carrier......I don't know how much experience you have but you may try some smaller companies near you but 3 preventables....ouch

Maybe trucking is really what you want to do, but maybe you suck at it to put it bluntly? When I was younger and learning to drive a truck I made mistakes because I was careless and didn't care if I broke the company's equipment. I got away with it though. Now that I'm older I am more careful I think and more responsible I think. Maybe US Express is doing you a favor and saving you from creating a worse accident? Maybe its time to pursue some different career for a time? I dunno, but I hope everything works out for you. I'm not saying any of what I said is true, but maybe it is?

go bark up a local jobs tree, lumber yards, construction/excavation companies. apply and offer to take any position they have available. if you're a hard worker then you'd be a good guy to have come on since you can do the grunt work, and you can drive too. so when you are called up to drive you can hop right in the seat. but 3 preventable s? what happened?? what did you do??

Everyone makes mistakes, to be honest, you dont even know what my accidents are, to tell you the truth they are stupid ones, no vehicles or no body damaged.. I hear alot of old timers say that when they started out at my age they made alot of mistakes too and they are still on the road today. So no I have not givin up my hopes yet. And yes this is what I want to do as a career.

Very minor stuff, like one is getting stuck in mud while parked at my home "unexpected storm" as an example.

stuck in the mud? i dunno, sounds stupid to me. i wouldnt worry that much about getting let go from us express. it will take a lot more work to find a job but its not like you were gonna have a long lasting career with that company.
