I stand to be corrected, I did get hazardous duty pay for Long Island, this must have been changed at some time, I just don't know when...

So, here I sit in Gary Indiana. Got a cracked windshield working its way thru my driverside. So have to have it replaced. Hoping this is a less than a day situation! Also hope it is a non-leaking windshield too! lol
Update on how things are going. Well here we are 18 days of 2011 in the books. I am finally getting some decent miles. The low miles have been more a fact that I'm trying to get home for the holidays and birthdays. But last week went well over 2500 and this week still has a chance to be over 1500 even with some maintenance time. I am going home Friday for my little girls 3rd B-day. Then will hit the road Monday or Tuesday. Gonna plan to be back home for my boy's b-day in Feb. We are some winter b-day family... lol He'll be 1 on the 15th we are having 2 parties since our families are so large. So I will be out till th 12th.

Been all over the place in the last three weeks. Spent New Years at a cons. in Rhinelander Wisconsin. Party!!!! PARTY!!!! :biggrin_25526: lol Guys at the dock were asking if I wanted to ride down to the local watering hole... I said no thanks... Maybe 15 years agao... lol Slept right up until someone called me to wish me Happy New Years... Then back to sleep. Ended up in Canada for a trip after that. Then down to Jersey. (by the way you all can have that place...) Ended up passing my cons. because there was no room in the place or on the street. Ended up taking an hour ride then got there again and squeezed in for the unload. Guy wasn't wanting to take it, but did anyway and I got off to a teeny tiny T/S where the company offered to pay for me to park. Too small and no room so off to I95 west or South or whatever direction and found myself a spot at the service area with about 2 minutes on my 14... nice.
Headed to york Pa for a load. Thought I was heading to my wire place, but this was some paper instead. They at least had a nice place that handeled my 53 footer... lol Headed to Jacksonville FL. I was thinking sun and warmth... (you all know I was wrong) Headed south and founde that on the day before there was an icing of all the country. The only state without snow was Florida. Talked to my SC buddy and he was iced in at the house with a load heading north. Once he got out we ended up grabbing dinner in Kenly NC. Parked there for the night. In the AM got up to head out and someone had pulled off his mirror and caught his front fender. They drove off so he was stuck there ivestigating and I guess found the truck on survelance to get the company and hopefully take care of it. I really don't know if the guy felt it at all. But if you do DON'T DRIVE OFF! It'll catch up to you!
Got to Florida and delivered then bob tailed out of there to my next pick up. Load to Virginia. Then Virginia to Buffalo and Niagara Falls to here. Virginia is where the crack appeared. It was so cold the one night there. All those loads were nice runs around 650+ miles. Which I'm liking. The one I brought to Gary was 1000 mile, but I had to relay it in order to get the truck fixed and me home for my daughter's party. I can't beleive she is 3! Feels like we just brought her home from the hospital. My Shaelea, my wife and I watched the superbowl together that year. My wife remembered (I did not) and mentioned it. I remember now hunny lol:biggrin_25523:

    Please stay safe out there!
SLOW DOWN!!!! You may save someone's life and it could be your own!

Does anyone out there know what happened at the service plaza there on the Ohio TRNPK? There were fire trucks and emergency response people there around 430PM or so on the 18th? Hope everyone was ok!

A truck lost control and drove off the toll road into 2 trucks that were parked in the parking lot. There is a tread in the accident forum about it.

That wasn't chris parked in there was it? Looked like the Roehl flatbed was a few trucks down... Article said that all the drivers were ok. But what a mess...

What's the deal with Evo 3? Do you get assigned a temporary truck for Evo 3 and then when you are done with that you get your own? Evo 3 you are solo right? I thought Evo 3 you get your own truck and solo with the fleet manager working over the phone with you for 4-6 weeks if you need it.

You get your own truck for EVO 3 and actually get to keep it after EVO 3 as long as it doesn't go to ####:)

    davect Thanks this.

If I remember right Hindsy wanted to go flatbed but got stuck in a van for Evo 3 because they didn't have a flat truck available for him...that's why he was getting a different truck after Evo 3.

    davect Thanks this.
