yes you will need hazmat endorsement as they haul corrosives to companies that make soda pop.

I have my CDL-A w/ tank&haz. No experience. Prime orientation date of 1/26/11. How long does a guy have to pull a reefer solo after training before making the move to tanker?

Can't say for sure, but I imagine they'll schedule you over on the tanker side after you go back for ACE-1 upgrade. The reefer experience is mostly so you'll get your time pulling a load - its easier on the reefer side because there's more trainers available. You'll need to go out team on a tanker for something like 10,000 miles - 30 or 60 days for tanker training.

If your a newbie nd tryng to apply to prime, they will not hire you if you have had more than 5 months unemployment in the last 3 years. Have never heard this one before! inda sucks for some of us that were in construction and this was either a normal thing in the bad months or like myself I was trying to hold out for my employer cause I dont jump jobs everytime it gets slow. But I look at it like it's there loss. I am a dedicated person when it comes to my job, I really was hoping to have an oppritunity to drive tanker for Prim. Well I had 4 choices and am now down to 3!

What about self employed? Would Prime except them? I was looking at Prime also but have been in construction 21 years self-employed.

If you have the tax returns to prove it... best thing is to call recruiting and ask them.

44yr old safe driver with tanker endorsement. Will be testing out this week with Prime. The snow storms of late delayed me a week. My instructor will vouch for my good listening and safe driving abilities.

I want to be a Prime company tanker driver. I am looking for a Prime company tanker trainer that would like to T n T.

I'm from the Carolinas and I'm a non-smoker, although my current instructor is a smoker and we've had no issues at all.

Please contact me if you have a lead or want to discuss this further.

    THANKS!
