I just bought an 86 Freighliner cabover that has a 350 big cam cummins. It had been sitting for a couple years. I started it for the first time today and its blowing oil back out of the oil fill hose.. It was used at a saw mill to move dust collection trailers so I was wondering if something could be stopped up from dust or just needs a rebuild..I dont know how many miles are on it..I bought it from the original owners son and he knew nothing about it..I bought it blind so thats all the info I'm working with..Thanks

Check your antifreeze level. Sounds like you have a hole in a liner and the oil pan is filling up with antifreeze.

Antifreeze is full..The oil dont seem to have anything mixed with it..Just seem to be building pressure in bottom end

First thing you want to do is remove the vent on the valve cover and clean that, they will carbon up. The engine oil level is it correct, From memory I believe it is 32 liters pan level at the full mark. You also want to tell us if there is smoke when cold? Does it have a miss blow oil out the exhaust?
You might want to remove the exhaust pipe, and inspect the turbine for damage just in case there is internal problems.
Also remove the oil filter and inspect it for metal, and the oil drain plug for metal. no use spending a lot of money on something that has bigger problems unless you know what they all are.
If you are determined to look I would test the CAC, and intake looking for leaking valve guides. pull the injectors and do a cylinder leak down test with the piston at the top and bottom.
Pull the pan and looking for cam, rocker box, and main bearing and cap fretting damage.
Check the clutch lock tab, for the amount of wear left.
Write a list and then make your decision. Just a thought!

I have paper work where the clutch and trans were replaced in 07 and the guy said the truck was parked in 09 because his dad was getting too old to climb in and out of it so he bought a convetional cab..There is only black smoke coming out of the exhaust and no evidence of any kind of fluid in it..Runs smooth as silk.. I do know the air filter is full of saw dust.. I'll dig a little deeper this week and check it out..I was just wondering if somebody might know if an simple particular reason it would be doing this..The rings and sleeves might just be worn out...Thanks

It could be overfilled with oil. Dip sticks many times do not show the correct amount of oil. Also, check for white puffing smoke out the exhaust, or a miss, when starting cold. This could mean a cracked piston. These engines are easy to work on, and cheap to rebuild. If you could post video of the exhaust when cold, and the oil blowing out, it would help.

Also, do what JohnP3 said, check the breather tube on the valve cover to see if it is plugged up. If that happens, the crankcase pressure has no where to go but out the dipstick and filler tube,

should have a vent(or blowby tube)down the right side of the engine.Check to see if bees have clogged it up.

I messed with it some this morning. Everything is stopped up on it..The air filter is clogged with saw dust..The blowby tube is clogged up. The valve cover vent is crudded up..I drained the oil and filters today and didnt see any signs of metal or anything in the oil..I'm going to clean it all out and I have to get new batteries this weekend. When I get it fired up again I'll let everybody know how everything goes.. I would still like some imput on a ball park figure on getting it rebuilt or getting an In-Frame done..If thats an option.. Thanks
