    Rat,
That sounds like an ideal compromise for you. If most of your operating is when you're in motion, they're in close to the right configuration. Even at rest, if the angle isn't very pronounced, you shouldn't lose much effectiveness when talking to other mobiles -- certainly not within a couple of miles.
Besides, any of these antennas, if not working against a proper counterpoise, won't have the "ideal, predicted" radiation pattern anyway.
    Cool beanz!

Good Set up! But why you running 2 ants? Are they co-phased? If not your hurting your system. One ant with good grounding and SWR's will still get the job done. Trust that, I run 1 mr. Coily made ant with my 99v and some extra attitude adjustments equipment and let's just say some folks get put on standby. Just my 2cents.....

Not in my truck you won't, well not unless you can talk a Cat or Peterbuilt dealership into bumping up the speed without call the company that is listed on the side of the truck.

It pisses me off that they cut it back. It was set at 77 mph speedo indicated which came out to about 73 on gps. They went through my history and less then 3% of my driving time was spent at over 70 mph. It used to be nice to hurry up and get around slower moving traffic and not cause backups.

Now with my foot pushed through the floor it tops out at 68 on my gps which is about 72 indicated. The cruise control tops out at just under 66 mph on gps.

My fuel economy went from just over 4 mpg to an average of about 3.5 mpg.
