Always remember this: Most cities don't want trucks in their cities!!!
They will, however, take as much of your money as possible!

We, truckers are barely tolerated by most of society. We are viewed as a necessary evil. If they could get their freight delivered without us, they would!!! And here is the worst part, IT IS OUR OWN FAULT! !!
Lazy, rude, disgusting, sloppy steering wheel holders make it hard for the other 95% of the professional drivers to get any respect.

I'm not pointing a y fingers at anyone here!!! But everyone here had seen examples of what I am talking about. It's time we clean up our image.

it all depends on if it was a private parking lot. i could see them giving the ticket if it was a city parking lot....

When I said people need to be taking more responibilty for themselves, I was not so much referring to you, as to society as a whole. There is a reason why "most cities don't want trucks". Think about it. There are people being paid to clean up truck stops and I know you've seen how nasty most of them still are. It's not just the trash, but people cursing, lot lizards, ect. I don't blame you for being upset, I just wish your anger could be more focused on the jerks out there that ruin it for us. If you were not a driver and just stopped at the Flying J with your family for gas, what would you think? Our negative image has been earned by those jackwads and that's why we all need to pull together to make a positive change. Next time you see another driver throw something on the ground, say something. Next time you see trash, pick it up. The good people out there far outway the bad, we just have to stop being the silent majority.

The year of the truck doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is YOU were parking illegally, and YOU got a ticket with YOUR name, address and CDL number written on it.

Back in '96 or so I got pulled over for speeding in Michigan by a trooper and was given a ticket. As I was trying to decide if I was going to pay or fight it, I received a letter in the mail from the state alerting me that the ticket was filled out incorrectly and was being dismissed. I could not find the mistake myself but I gladly accepted that they did.

It was probably an incorrect State Statute number.
