Home time is pretty standard. 7-10 days out 2 days at home. 11-17 days out 3 days at home, 18-24? = 4, 25-30= 5, 31 - 35 = 6 and 36+ gets you 7. Most often people run between 11 and 18 days. Don't expect bonus home time. There is a focus on revenue per driver per week now, this is not a bad thing however. By giving you the home time that you have earned (and signed up for) it will get you more miles. Bonus home time results in lost wages for the driver and revenue for the company.

When our hometime went from 5-6 days out to 15 or more, I asked this same question (thinking that is why our time changed so drastically) and was told "No..they would never do something like that" :biggrin_25512: Yeah...sure they would.

I remember having my old FM tell me after 20 days out and 2 days past hometime I needed to run this 1 more load to "justify" my hometime... I was like "what the hell was the last 20 days? A vacation?" I was then routed to the house lol

    If it helps any...

On the spreadsheet I use to keep track of miles and such..last year he had 251 days out. That includes spending the majority of the months of June, July and August out (by our choice) with his girls :)

Living in south bend you should be able to get thru the house most weekend if you want to. If you want to run longer keep on your FM. It's easier to load you thru the house than it is to ask customer service to give you a better load. If you keep hearing, "well at least you get to sit at home, that's better than on the road" I would think your FM isn't trying hard enough. If you ask them for something better but nothing changes, call in on Saturday about 0900, let weekend dispatch know that you are looking for more miles, odds are someone has broken down or just doesn't want to do there load.
