I got my Class A back in July 2007, passed the first time out - did 5 weeks training in Linden NJ at Windsor Academy, got pre-approved back then by Swift, Werner & Pam. Wound-up working locally for a Bus Company - I'd Like to Start Driving Rigs again but haven't driven a Truck since, will Prime take me? I called once before and they declined, telling me I was better off coming in without a CDL, why on earth is already HAVING your Class A CDL License a problem if I'm willing to train all over again? Any tips or advice would be helpful, thanks!

They take students from all three terminals. But the main training area for the CDL trainers are Springfield.

Take 40 some people who can't afford airfare, (but they can afford booze). Put them in a small metal box that is often lacking in maintenance. Then let those people pee in the corner, (there is a bathroom in the back that is supposed to have a fan but it seldom works). Hint- Do not sit in the back. Now stop that little box in every little town between your point of origin and destination.

Hang in there. Just remember it is a means to an end. Especially if you don't already have your permit, take some reading material. A CDL manual, or down load PDF files and use the time to study. Get ahead of the game.

Best of luck. Don't forget to stop by from time to time ad let us know how it is going.

Also, try to be in the front of the line to get on the bus. They over book those buses and those in back typically have to reschedule to another bus

I was planning to go to JCT but at a week before orientation they told me I couldn't do my days off as I was planing to do. So I am going to do the Prime thing again. I was with them for about 11 years before. I finished a lease and moved on. I will be in orientation next month as a re-hire. Yuppeeeeee!!
