a Lupe type question..

Have you ever heard that rediculous noise on some company trucks? I'll try to make the sound.....

You'd think it would be a good investment....and not costly, since you should have that wired on the tractor already. Just some more wire and lenses. I have wired back up lights on one of our gooseneck trailers before, they were actually fog lights from te auto-parts store. Came in handy often.

 

As if that's not annoying enough, most constructions sites want us to blow air horns every time we put the truck in motion, and every 100 feet in reverse. Because we have become "immuned" to the infamous backup-bell

I hear that day in and day out when I back up. Apparently though, the general public does not. I lost count of how many people I nearly hit backing in customer lots on a daily bases.

 

No, no, no.

A lupe question would be what is a back up light, and do the people who change the back up lightbulbs really make $70k per year. How does one become a bulb changer? What is the best company to work for while changing bulbs? Will they overlook the fact that I have no work history?

It's all in good fun, I swear.

One would think that seeing such a large machine move backwards would be a solid indicator of reverse, but people do seem to need more warning than that.

Remember, as soon as you idiot proof something, they go and build a better idiot.

 

DOT would love it too. That would be one more item they could bang you for during an inspection if they aren't working.
