ok from the other side! some of you know I was a driver until just recently. I have a good record just medical conditions that keep me from driving right now. today I was on a highway 2 lanes clear and sunny truck comes behind I;m in the slow lane in a little 4 wheeler he rides on my tail so close I could see his nationality I move over and he follows now we are in the hammer at 5 miles over he still rides me now I;m po'ed so we come on to a bridge he now has a truck beside him and blows again and flips me off. so at 70 on a 2 lane bridge with a rig beside him and me 15 in front I HIT the brakes. he missed everybody and everything but I will bet he needs new undies and steering wheel the driver beside him stopped nearby and I got out and apologized because I did endanger him, he laughed said that M********N deserved it and he was waiting for him to come to get the company name and truck # we got them and he called from right there on the side of the road. so yes I did a bad thing and yes it could have been real ugly, but I felt better
grrrrrrr (rant on)

there is no question what this driver did was wrong--but if you are going to let this upset you this much--FIND ANOTHER LINE OF WORK!! These type of things happen to ALL OF US--everyday day--and typically multiple times a day! It is part of the job--pay attention--expect the unexpected--and keep yourself out of trouble! and for what it is worth--in my humble opinion--watching another truck coming up the left lane--heading into what you know is about to be a restricted lane--you had to figure he was gonna do exactly what he did--happens all the time--but either way you gotta learn to roll with it--or your gonna make yourself sick
Meltom Thanks this. -
Like Taco Bell and their 36% beef "taco filling".

I am fine with it now, I just wasn't fine with it as it was happening and for a few hours afterwards. I expect this kind of behavior from 4 wheelers, I do not expect this kind of behavior from someone that gets their living from driving a truck.

you saw that too ehh but your honor I swear it starts out at 100% beef

You can bet your bottom dollar that when people do stupid things in trucks or cars, they are probably talking on the phone. When you are on the phone and driving, you may be seeing whats ahead of you, but your mind is on the call. Think about that the next time you are on the phone and driving. I hate talking on the phone and driving and never on a 2 lane or going thru intersections and stuff. And if I need to call for directions, I just find a place to pull off the road.
