I went to Star Truck Driving in chicago. It was ok... then i decided to go with Schneider bulk division since i couldnt get any food service companies to hire me. The training with Schneider was pretty good. Its in Greenbay Wisconsin. I learned quite a bit now I go out with a trainer starting tomorrow. Sure wish I could have done food service though. I prefer to be home more often and still make a decent buck.

Yes they will take students even though it says on their website that they are only taking experienced drivers. I came right out of cdl school and went to greenbay for training and now I am with a trainer learning how to do air and pump unloads in the bulk/tanker division. JUst fill out the application online and then call the recruiter and give them the reference number and that will get the ball rolling.

how long are you going to be out on the road? any local runs you know of? I was interested in them with the bulk division but they wanted to keep you out for 2-3 weeks. That i wont do

Thanks for the reply .Yeah I heard of Star , I'am thinking of Progressive Truck School , its closer.Just need to come up with the cash to pay for it.

Doesnt Schneider or didn't they used to take Inexpierenced drivers with NO CDL ? That is the closest one I can find that offers "free" training upfront.
