    Go to gasbuddy.com and search the areas you are going thru for diesel prices. Many times there's a Kroger or Walmart thats has fuel sometimes .30 cents cheaper than the truckstops. Check mapquest.com aireal (sp) view to make sure theres a safe area for you to drop your trailer, then bobtail on in. This takes extra time, but to save $30 to $60 at each fillup should help alot.

    And of course, drive the truck easy like others have suggested!

    This fpc1 stuff works! I run a haul over the WV turnpike and I am able to get over the mountains in gears I never could before.

    I've only run 3 tankfulls on the stuff, but going over the mountains so often I know what my rig is capable of. It's the same load each time. I've learned what gear I have to be in, but now it's different. I can stay at 1600 rpm and not need to downshift on some of the hills.

    I decided to try it even though some folks were concerned about the fuel line because you only need to use 2 oz of this stuff. I really don't think 4 tablespoons of this stuff is enough to eat my fuel line. I think they just use enough liquid to dissolve the picric.

    Anyhow so far I really like the stuff.

    Two of the easiest and least expensive ways to fight higher fuel prices.........slowdown, and don't idle as much. It's not rocket science.

    Hey, I saw this and had to reply. I have heard about this stuff before. I used to ride a peterbilt 377 cummins. I tried so many additives to save some cash. I think I ended up just spending more money on additives than on fuel. Well one day I'm going to pick up a load and the some guy tells me to use this stuff and I tell him my horror story about additives. I tell him I'm done with them and refuse to buy it so he just tells me to take it for free. I was pretty shocked but hey if it's free I'm takin it. I read the label and it says 1 oz. Treats 40 gallons of fuel I'm thinkin yeaaaa right. Anyway I used it and I felt some change right off the bat but I think it was just because I wanted it to work. Anyway a few fillups later and I can tell some changing in my idleing less smoke and yes I noticed an MPG change.

    Anyway I'm not saying its magic flying Finn but I've been reading these forums a lot and the additives they talk about with testimonials from Kirby on 3rd street I get why you brought that up. I went to the fpc site and they show me testimonials from actual trucking company's and they do have results listed if you look at the test that goes with the testimonial.

    That's my 2 cents sorry for the rant.

    They may also put lye in it and thet scrubs cylinder walls. I would'nt use any other additive beside something liek Lucas to take the water out of the fuel and I have had 1 incindent with water in fuel in the iwnter and it was in WY in -12 weather. I parked overnight and my crossover froze. Ive run CO when it was -30 without prooblems.

    Seems those who have posted positive things about this particular snake oil have only posted in this thread. Bored reps at the FPC sales office?

    Sure seems like it doesn't it. No one has tried to explain the chemical makeup just saying "look we have all these testimonials". :biggrin_2556:

    Just for the record, I did post another thread. I'm just a noob. Though if I were a FPC rep I'd go after a bigger fuel user than an O/O. :biggrin_25523: They're too skeptical!

    I'll shut up about the stuff now :)
