Has anyone dealt with a coordinator named Brandon? Eric got a promotion and I'll be assigned to this dude starting Monday (or whenever I finish fixing my truck and get back on the road).
-
Is it just me or is anyone else doing a lot of sitting or having to deadhead a lot lately? Seems like most of the loads I try to get never make it to me or the loads just wasn't ever there.
-
I was just getting ready to ask the same thing. During the last two months I've had several loads I was dispatched on for next day pickup get canceled. Only one paid me TONU charges.
And I still wonder about load assignments. Five of us loaded at a shipper, all going to the same location 2000 miles away. I was the first to empty out, and yet the next truck to arrive got the load I wanted before he even showed up to unload. When on the phone with my coordinator trying to get that load (and remember I was already empty) he said no good, went to driver ahead of me. So, how's that first empty - first offered thing working out for everybody lately? I know overall it is supposed to be a 'fair' system but it still seems to have its issues. -
maybe was it the issue of the other driver saying he was mt and still 100 miles away?
had that happen more than once to me
its something i cant do--sometimes being nice and doing things properly comes back to bite you in the butt -
It has happened many of times to me. Although the truck isn't empty, the driver calls in empty. I believe if they get caught doing that it results in lease cancelation.
-
I think it happens and they know it happens but won't do anything about it. I was empty ahead of another driver yesterday but he already had a load before we ever got to where we was delivering.
-
I have also heard that it has something to do with who loads first.....so who know....well he is comming to get me he loaded in WA or will tomorrow going to Charleston there are several making this run.......it had better be warmer.....
-
I sure did a lot of DH'ing last month. I never pulled anything below $1.60 a mile, but overall rate including DH was like $1.27. Ouch.
I also had a lot of loads with dispatch mile/hub mile discrepancy last month. -
Katz, you gonna be around this weekend? I deliver in Modesto tomorrow & strongly think I may be here for awhile.
