i got a $73.73 parking ticket.... >(

I've been trying to be as nice about it as possible, but you're not getting it. If you did it, you know you did and you know that you shouldn't have done it, then why would you fight the ticket. If you didn't see the sign and had never been there before, that would have been a mistake. You made a conscience decision to park there knowing it was wrong. The fact that the officer wrote the wrong year on the ticket doesn't change anything, it wouldn't have really mattered what he wrote about the vehicle. The truck didn't get the ticket, you did, which was the previous posters point about your CDL. You asked for advice and when it wasn't what you wanted to hear you got upset. I was trying to help and didn't want you to look like a fool in court.

 

I've gotten a parking ticket in The Home Depot parking lot, Fontana CA. I've been parking there on occasion for about 3 years. I won't do it anymore.

soontobe...try calling the Dunkin Donut show and see if they will pay the ticket, after all, you were a customer. And call the Police Chief and ask why the change in attitude.

In my opinion a parking ticket is not worth fighting as it is just that a parking ticket and once paid doesnt show on your MVR. But that is a bit much. But it is Michigan and the state is broke so they are trying to make a quick buck. I got one here in Vegas and it was 95 dollars. it was two different citations on same ticket. one was for commercial vehicle in a residential and the other was oversized vehicle. talk about double dipping. I just paid it and left it at that.

 

DONT PAY IT! i got a 100 dollar parking ticket in fort worth tx 3 years ago, for illegally parking a bobtail truck with no decals, plates, identification what so ever in front of a federal courthouse, I had to park there to get my 2290 on the truck i had just bought, at federal building a couple blocks away,

Well guess what? i never paid it, nothing ever happened, no warrant, no impoundment, nothing, nada, ziltch, and the city of Fort Worth can kiss my ### one more time. YEEEEE HAWWW!

 

I would talk to them , But i would never just blow it off! I've known people who did that then years later they get sent to jail for something that was peanuts at the time

 

If he got the year wrong maybe it will be dismissed like the other one you had, screw it I wouldn't pay it, I would rather pay 500.00 to a lawyer to get out of a ticket than give them the satisfaction, lawyer would have a field day with the wrong year thing too, sounds like the cop was a real ##### too.
