I prefer the small independent truck stops, they usually have friendlier service and better food, I regularly stop at certain ones where they know me and I get a free shower every time whether I fuel or not. There are truck stops up here in Canada where I stop that still pump your fuel for you. You won't ever see that at you big chain truckstops.
I don't like the big ones, Flying J's, TA's, Pilots etc, these places have the worst food and worst service, and any place that would rather cater to campers and RV's, rather than truck drivers doesn't get my support.

i am thankful for the pilots since there are so many of them in the southeast. without them, i would have to pull off on the side of the road half the time to make a pit stop.

Ta gives 10% senior discount cards if your 60 or older, will be lunching there, but I fuel at flying j's,use an Irving fuel card which is good at flying j's and Irvings in canada and me. Save more than pilot and ta.

Only one reason, free wifi internet!!
I like all SAPP BROS T/S
they have free wifi internet access -
Like the BP in Smiths Grove, KY. They pump your fuel, wash your tractor, and you get a discount on your meal..... A lot of people that run up and down I-65 complain about it being .20 a gal higher.......but hey, if you buy 100 gal, you get a good truck wash, you can go inside and order your dinner(which is gonna be discounted) while they pump it for you. Definitely worth $20. And the people in there are like gold. They treat you like the "old school" truckstops. And the coffee is always fresh....never scorched! Tell Suzie "Steve said Hi" and we'll see her soon!

I prefer the TA's but the polit is ok I just need the wirless service If walmart had wireless I would bethere before any place else ecept when I need a shower

My question is why do 4wheelers go to truck stops for food and other stuff when they could go anywhere they want.I myself would rather shop somewhere else where the food is cheaper and better than at truckstops.

i love all those old time truck stops. localy owned truck stops.

I have found most Flying J's are O.K., but the one in W. Memphis use to be pretty crappy. The showers down the hall of the 1st right you come to always back up. It's been a while since I stopped at that one, for that reason and more lot lizards than usual. Over all I generally like Flying J.
