The adventures of 'Team Klingon'

First day of 'school' is done and over with... LOTS of paperwork and studying. SO glad Klingon copied some of his study stuff, so I could study BEFORE I got down here... if I was going into this cold there would have been a bunch more wrong answers - LOL! So out of 85 questions I missed 4 (ish) - LOL - the ish is that one of the questions had 2 right answers, but only one of them will be on the DMV test. So with the missed 4 I got a 94% - I'll take it Speaking of cold though - the room finally got to a comfortable 71 degrees - and the 'instructor' turned it down to 69!! All that cold air went to the floor and my feet FROZE!! At the motel - they have the hot water in the shower set so it will only get 'warm' - (to decrease the time folks are in the shower probably) - so my loving husband took the ice bucket and filled HOT water from the sink and poured it in to the tub for me - so I could warm my feet - and you guys wondered why I love him - LOL! Oh - and his trainer has his truck in the shop, so I get him for another day!! Woo Hoo!! It is an unexpected blessing <3 Tomorrow is more studying and practice testing - to be ready for Wednesday when we go to the DMV to take the test for our permits... Not sure what we will do on Thursday - but Friday its out to the range to actually touch a real truck - LOL - did I say that with enough aw?? Well tonight I'm going to go to the DMV website and take a couple sample tests for my C and M1 - I don't want to loose my M1 !!

Well today - Klingon headed back to the yard to wait for his trainer - the trainers truck got signed off and now they have a load that picks up in Riverside and go to Bakersfield then Delano to WI... by his calculations he has about 2500 +/- miles to go until he can upgrade. He won't be able to be on as much - because I swiped the MiFi - LOL! Bills - ya' need it to pay bills!! Feeling sorry for him though - stuck at the yard in the trainers truck - trainer is snoring and he is board silly... sorry Honey!!

For me - practice test after practice test!! I know why they do it that way - repetition - memorization of the answers to questions - I'm just frustrated that at time I don't know WHY I'm answering the way I am... sigh... Toward the end though I was getting 100%s on the practice tests so I feel OK heading in to the 'real' test tomorrow... just need to brush up on my C and M1 - taking those too.

Well since my 'roommate' (Klingon) isn't here - getting a new roommate for tonight - what's cool is she is also on TTF!! So I can add a new name to the bottom of my signature - Woo Hoo!! She is doing the 'orientation' now - already having done her schooling. <color me green w/envy - LOL> Well I'm going to read a few threads, fix some dinner, read up on my M1 (they had a C study guide at school) then hit the sack... Yeah I know I won't see Klingon for almost two months now - but its for a good cause.

 

Well I now am a permit holder <BSEG>!! Klingon only has about a week left until he upgrades and so things are right on track... WHOLE lot of info we need to know - so I best get to studying... forum reading right now will be my treat for when I'm done this evening - unless I fall asleep first - LOL!
