Do any of you use those so called "truck" GPS's? How are they? Do they still tell you to go down residential and narrow streets?

In short, yes...but only when you are on a "non-specified" truck route already. See paragraph 2:

I like my Navigator. Works fine so far with O/S, TDG, and regular loads.

I like it when you get onto a road that has just been built and isn't in their data base yet. Warning, Warning, Waring, slow down, Speed to high for off road conditions, I forget what make or model that was.

My Rand McNally 700 died after 6 months. We didn't even use every day. We can't do anything till we get home in another month. We also have been told to go some strange routes. We just ignore it:biggrin_255:

    Some people HATE the GPS's.

    I don't.

They are just another tool to use WITH your good ol fashioned atlas.
Kinda like having one of thise kingpin puller handle thingies.

Some here think us "ol' timers" are always hatin on the GPS.
    No,
We just know that eventually that gizmo WILL die... or have wrong information.

And we want you to also perfect the use of "old tech" so you don't get into trouble... or cause harm.

    Anyway,
Just wanted to make that point.

    Dix_ Thanks this.
