Not really that different. Only thing different really is they have E-logs now which they didn't have when I was there. They will let me have my same dispatcher too.

When I talk with the older heads, they say it is a completely different game - and it's changed greatly just in the last three years. Elogs, CSA, competition forcing on-time performance to be essential, but especially - fuel costs will eat you alive if you let it. To name a few... just sayin' fella.

I know what you mean. I was there when fuel was almost $5.00 a gallon. Back then my truck was governed at 76 MPH. LOL But now they all are set at 65 MPH and company trucks 63 MPH

Well, im at Prime in springfield. Just finished all my paperwork, took physical, drug test. Everything went okay, a little hectic and jammed up, but what can you do. I take my cdl permit test tomorrow, we will see how that goes.

How ya gonna do that with the interstate shutdown or best case snow covered? Last I checked I-44 is closed as is almost every major highway in Missouri. Do they give that test on the sim?

The permit is a written test only.

I'm there too. They're confident the DMV ppl are still coming in tommorow, but if not we won't take the test. We're not allowed to use the simulators until we have our permits, so who knows what the rest of this week will hold

You should have gotten your permit before you left your home state
