High wind advisory for western PA, WV and OH. Winds guest up above 45mph. Sitting here at home and listen to the wind hit the house.

PENNDOT has also lowerd the speedlimit to 45mph on all interstates.

I know...I drove through part of this. I don't recommend it.
I survived howling wind, heavy blowing snow and near zero visibility and made it to the Dekalb Oasis on I-88 last night. In the morning I headed up to Rochelle IL where the Petro was closed. They were not allowing anyone in to the Petro so they could get people out of there and get it plowed.

I guess they normally hold 150 trucks. Last night I guess they had about 400. I'm here at the RoadRanger now. The lot is finally plowed. The pumps are working. Took a long time for them to clear this out. Some trucks are still stuck but they're working on getting them pulled out.

I guess around 7-8p tonight they shut down I-39 again because of winds. Sounds like (according to the CB) they shut down a lot of interstate around 7p-8p. I think the Petro may still be closed right now as they're still plowing and getting people out of there.

I'm just happy that I found a spot last night to park, that I didn't have to get pulled out in the morning, and that I survived the drive from Chicago to Dekalb yesterday in the conditions I drove through.

    It's crazy out here.
