I hardly think you will be discriminated against. There are a lot of gay truckers boys and girls and they are proud of it. I can't tell you the number of big rigs I see with rainbow stickers on them. Twenty years ago I am sure you would have a problem, but this is 2011! It's kind of like being a biker. Everyone including their grandma can go down to the local harley store buy a costume and custom! Same with trucking, everyone and their grandma doing it. Actually the term "good buddy" is now the way the differentiate straight from gay on the CB. Straight truckers don't say it anymore. There you go, your first gay trucker lesson! They probably won't tell you that in school.

Who gives a rats rectum what your orientation is?! If some one does, then that is their problem. I would imagine that if you go around drawing attention to yourself or making it an issue, you will have problems. Keep under the radar, so to speak.

There are a number of suspicious parts of this post. I have a number of gay friends and none of them refer to their partner as their "Lover". I do not refer to my wife as my lover, at least not on a public forum. You also say they were nice "at first" but then never talk about when that stopped.
