i used to be with landstar up til april 2007 i left for personal reasons sold my trk no probs with l/s just wanted some time off to be with family, recently decided to buy a trk and go back to l/s and got the same runaround as u did they wont give me a reason either so ive decided to lease with mercer feels like this gonna be a good thing.talked with a l/s bco 2day he was telling me that l/s is forcing black boxes into bco equip [not cool] i hope everything works to your advantage and good luck.scottied67 Thanks this.

i didnt say i knew it first j ust repeating whay i was told by one of there bco,s he said they had been told that during one of there recent safety thursdays that they if i remember right you could call a 800# on thursdays and listen in on a safety meeting . im not too worried bout it myself.im in the process of leasing on to mercer and adapted the mentality long ago, that its better to just run legal a whole lot less stress, just run smarter.have a good day all and stay safe out there

I've been leased to Landstar for nearly a year now and, overall, I'm quite happy. I just had a buddy get turned down by L/S though, and he ended up leasing onto Schneider National. They have a program very similar to L/S in that you dispatch yourself, come and go as you please, etc. He's only been with Schneider for a few weeks but thus far, he's thrilled. He's finding plenty of freight where he wants to run and is making good money. You might check them out.

You have to look at what kind of felony it was, that makes a difference no matter how old it is. i worked for LS for 2 yrs, they were my first o/o company and didnt have any problems getting on. LS was the best, i never had any problems what so ever. The only reason i left was i sold my truck. I did reapply in 09 and was DQ for incorrect info on app(my fault). I am in the process of going back as of we speak, just need a new physical. Dont give up, do some research and the reason will pop up.
