You know in Memphis, New Boston, and Lancaster you need to log 15mi on line 3 to pull out of the terminal and back to the pumps.

At Lancaster you don't have to go out the gate, just pull thru the fuel island and turn around. We do it all the time, but of course you have to log fueling.

if yens scans the paper work, then what do you do with the paper work after you scan them
-
sposed to be saved for a minimum of 90 days. me not being the best organized Yankee on the block, I've found its easier if I scan it into my computer

Why not just go to Target, buy one of those expandable file cabnets? I have one on the truck, and one at home with trips dating back to the very beginning. I keep them for tax purposes.

Anytime you fuel, you have to log it. And if you're off by 15 min. you'll probably get dinged with a log violation.
if you dont want to log it, pay cash.
( I've done that, but only in emergencies)

Just curious about who says you "need to" log 15 min.? You saying you have to log 15 min on line 3, and then drop down to line 4 and show fueling? If so, that is incorrect, since you're not on a public road (for one) but the big one is, you're not "driving" for more than 7 minutes....thus, you do not have to log it.

In Memphis and in New Boston you have to go out the exit. Security does a time stamp. They record you leaving.
In Memphis you get on East Brooks RD and go 500ft and turn into the entrance.
Run that by safety and see what they tell you. -
i've done it. they dont say a thing to me. I'm not on the road longer than 7 minutes, i dont have to log it. Yeah they time stamp it, so what? They also time stamp bobtails (company or lease/op's) and note "left yard/no trailer". or when you arrive they'll note you arrived with no trailer. Guessing its all up to whoever sits behind that computer screen and video camera as to exactly what notes they put on your truck record, but again, the '7 min rule' works both ways. They also say they want to see 15 min for fuel, and 15 min for a drop. Okay...so if you fuel at the terminal, only put in 50 gallons (which takes no more than 2 minutes from nozzle in and out at the pump) then drive 30-45 sec. to where you're going to drop the trailer, and the whole process of dollying down and removing your lines, etc.....at MOST it might take 20 minutes...heck...lets just call it 22 minutes. I still log it as 15 minutes. Whats their saying? "Log it like you do it"? Okay....well i just did.

I think that was what I said about having to log it.
