80 is open now. The eye of the big truck jacknifes is just east of Walcott. Cars and trucks all over the ditch!

When I came through Walcott yesterday it was a rubberneckers heaven. Seemed like every 2 to 3 miles it was a break check to look at the do do in the ditch. I guess there are two more storms on the heels of this one so it's sure to be an exciting weekend!

If you get in a good routine of loads it averages out to .34 to .39 per mile with your line haul & bonus. Hope everybody made it through snowpocolypse 2011 last week ok. I was lucky enough to miss Mother Natures little gem & I will also forget to tell you it was almost 70 degrees when I picked up my trailer in Mt. Crawford on Wednesday! I am paying for my good fortune last week with a whole heap of snow and ice this week! It has been snowing since I left Le Mars on Sunday morning all the way into central Montana. Luckily they lifted the chain law on Lookout so hopefully the ride to Post Falls in the morning will be nice and smooth. As for the new KW's I was talking to Dean this weekend and we should be getting the first round of them here in two weeks or so. Be safe out there.

Ya your Pete is coming close to its use with us, you may get lucky and not get moved up in the first wave of new trucks. The second one may be its curtain call though. Ever since I have been in this dumb Volvo I have been on a warpath to get out of it & from what Mike said I am on the list for a new KW. That day cannot come soon enough as far as I'm concerned! Never know, you may be the next driver in it!
