If you leave out something on your application and Roehl finds it when they run your background check, they will bounce you right out of orientation and you won't get a chance to explain or come back. The chance is yours to take.

Cheryl is right about that. Someone we know left out a felony procession of stolen property charge 9 or 10 years ago and Roehl found out about it and after pre-hiring him told him that they can not hire him.

If you get anything like that expunged, there is no way they can find out about it. The record of it is sealed, and there isn't even a marker on your record that tells them it has been sealed. Being as they can't find out about it, I'd lie about it after getting it expunged. Sure, lying sucks, but it doesn't suck a quarter as much as being stuck with crappy trucking jobs because of a crime you committed years or even decades ago. It's none of their business, especially if it's an old crime and/or a crime you committed while a minor. You've learned your lesson and have been punished by the system for it. That should be enough. Make sure it's enough by getting it expunged, and then never tell anyone about it, no matter what threats they throw at you. Don't let society keep punishing you for old crimes by denying you access to good jobs today.
