They do have a rider program, rider must be 12 years old, and be a direct family member. Also, the employee must have been with the company for 60 days. Also, they only allow a rider during warm months. No riders are allowed inbetween November 1st to April 1st.
We pretty much stay away from wal-mart from what I have seen. I have yet to actually have seen a wal-mart load. And frankly, I am OK with that. Sitting for hours on end, they wont pay for anything, and frankly, and personally, i rather not have ANYTHING to do with Wal-Mart. I wont even shop there unless its an emergency.

do riders have to where uniforms
-
-
LOL.. Funny guys...
The company provides uniforms, and they ask that the drivers wear them, but it isnt enforced by any means. And only the Full time drivers even get the choice of uniforms. We have a part time (casual) drivers positions, and the company doesnt provide uniforms for them.
No the riders dont have to wear uniforms. -
Hey LaPurr, in post 13 you mentioned a .05 CPM bonus for low idle/high MPG. The MPG is figured out by hub miles. Does FF pay the bonus by the hub miles as well?
I've been tempted to call on FF as they've been looking ti hire where I live.

Actually, the fuel bonus is checked via the Qual-Com and the 1939 data link cable to the truck. The fuel bonus can hit .02 CPM. Some of our trucks dont have the Qual-Com, and I have no idea how they check it on those...
Out of TN, you would probly be on the Peytons Acct. Big account, and a lot of job security there! -
what about walmart accounts
-
cant really answer for the Wal-Mart accounts. As far as I know, we dont have any. But I am only in the St Louis region..

First Fleet is a great company. I drove for them out of the Phoenix terminal. The management there is top notch. So is the shop. Never a problem with the pay check.
I left to be home every night and have 2 full days off in a row. But I sure miss First Fleet. -
I agree with you Yuban...
I have been in management with them for a bit over a year. But family issues are causing me to switch terminals, and get back behind the wheel. FirstFleet is transferring me, no questions asked, etc. I couldnt imagine driving for another company.
On the home time note, out here in St Louis, its a 50/50 mix. Half the drivers are home every night, the rest are home every other night.
Gentlemen, there is a diference in companys. Most companys are trucking companys. Then there are DLC's, or dedicated logistics carriers. FirstFleet might say they are a trucking company, but in my honest opinion. they arent. They are a DLC, handling a fewer customers well, rather than handling many customers not so well.
