You have not been driving for to long and it shows, my guess is you work as a recruiter for jbs., I have been in trucking for about 30 years and in that time jbs is the worst trucking company I have seen. As you say let us just go by the facts. If you go to the FMCSA web sight, you will see that JBS is just about to be shout down. They have the worst safety rating in the industry. The men and women that work hire up have been in trucking a long time and are burn outs, or sale outs. As for the trucks .. Are you joking they are the bottom of the line, cheapest road truck you can get.. They lease the truck for a prestige of what they do and because the DOT came in they are slow. The drivers are lucky if they get 1500 to 2000 a week, If you consider that good you may have been trained by Warner, Swift, or any one of the companies that should not be aloud to train drivers. Because of big trucking companies like JBS, Warner, Swift, and all the others
Its all about the company not the employees. If you Like no miles, bad health insurance, slow trucks and no respect, JBS is the place for you.

Do not work for JBS driver. You should first check out FMSCA web sight. 2nd it is never good to work for a company that has not been in business for less than 10 years, 3rd never work for a company that trains drivers. There is a reason for that.

I do find it hard to believe.................
that the drivers Requested bi-weekly pay.
Most companies do that, so that they are always holding on to some of your money.
They used to call it escrow !!!!!!! -
Mrs Angel here. My baby is leaving Greely today sometime. And yes they do have a bad safety record , but it is improving. Like I said in another post, they are getting there stuff together. Like any company starting out there is always problems and quirks. I still think JBS is going to be a great company to work for and they do have excellant benefits. 165 dollars for insurance for a family plan is realy good. If you were to purchase a family plan on your own with bluecross blueshield you will pay roughly 1000.00 amonth. I know because i used to. Well anyway lets pray for the drivers leaving greely today, and all the other drivers out there. There is an Angel watching over the drivers. The backbone of any industry. Keep on trucking ladies and gentlemen.
123456 and oldschooler Thank this. -
They have pretty good insurance, I'll give that to them. But, aren't they owned by an insurance company, or at one time they were?
I'm not really sure why everybody thinks this is a young company. they've around a long time, maybe 20-30 years.
They changed their name, that's about the only difference.
Same as Prime did, but still the same company !!
Hopefully things will improve. -
hctowing, Your ignorance is concerning! How would a company ever get to be a 10 year old company if everyone followed your line of thinking by never working for a company who has been in business for less than 10 years? As far as training drivers, if I owned a company I would want to verify my employee's driving skills prior to handing them an expensive piece of equipment and a trailer full of product only to find they were a insurance concern. Seems to me a quality company needs to protect their investments so as to become that 10 year old company!Last edited: Feb 10, 2011

Prime didn't "change" their name moron. They came out of a bankruptcy (something few trucking companies manage to survive,) and the new organization by law must have a different legal name.

Correctamundo,
they changed their name.
Required by law.
Good Work Sir !!!
