I'd grab the FL, mostly because of the engine and because I absolutely hate Vulva 670's and Vulva engines. I know how big the Century is inside the sleeper, not sure how it compares to living space in the vulva.
I'm no expert though. -
If I was buying a truck I would definitely choose the Freightliner. Volvo's are nice if you don't have to pay to fix them all the time. Plus the Volvo's, especially the new ones, have a lot more sensors and bull$###. Most of the time that is what goes wrong with them.

I would run away as fast as I could from both. Never heard anything good about volvo engines. I drive an 04 Sterling with a 14l detroit. Absolutley hate it, numerous egr problems, no power on hills. The only good thing about it is the fuel milage.

Driven both.
The Volvo has the nicer cab, ride and noise level. The dashboard computer was excellent. However, ours broke down everytime you looked at it cross-eyed. It slowed down on every hill with only 14k in the box. Wabasco provided heat but no a/c for sleeper time.
The Shaker wasn't as nice in the cab and noise level. However it seemed to only break when I wanted a 3 day weekend (ok, not true. But much more reliable). It pulled like a beast of burden. Parts and techs were everywhere. Opti-Idle provided both heat and cool, but would wake me up when the truck started til I got used to it.
