greatwide ripoff!

Have just quit greatwide an turned my tractor into leaseco.. Was at greatwide for 4 months an all they do is lie steal an cheat you out of your money.. Pam an tammy are the worse... They would lie to every driver an loved to hire mexicans an haitians so they can take advantage of them

 

They do cheat their Drivers,O/O out of money on a regular basis.You really have to check behind them on every load.We've heard that their safety record is really bad.We've been told by a few companies on the 360 board,"no,can't load Greatwide"Good luck in your next job.

 

well greatwide just fired 131 people effective april 3 in the winter haven area..They bought a company called Southpoint an ran it to the ground

 

I read the article,but they didn't name SouthPoint.It's sad that all of those drivers are going to be without a job because of greed.I can see the same thing happening to the flat/step div.(Cheetah,Dallas Mavis,ATF).Greatwide thinks O/O can haul their cheap brokered freight for fuel money and Greatwides 25%.

Greatwide just layoffed 131 drivers at their winter haven publix div.. They said they did not make enough money.. Where did it go..Drivers were making 60 a year before greatwide ..then got it cut to 45..Still greatwide ran it to the ground,,

 

lol posting the same thing over and over .. It doesn't matter if the drivers were or were not making money.. Greatwide while crooked has their reasons. Maybe Southpoint was horribly ran and wasn't making a profit. I mean I am not going to close my doors if I am making money.. There is more to this story don't know what it is.. But greatwide is way to greedy to just walk away from a contract that hold value.

 

From reading the story on the above link I provided, it looks like they wanted higher rates from Publix and Publix would not budge. Greatwide called Publix's bluff but Publix stood their ground.

Greatwide's safety ratings for all of their companies (Dallas Mavis, ATF, American Trans-Freight, Cheetah, etc) are horrible. I am surprised they continue to haul freight for such big customers such as Wal-Mart.

 

The dispatch at AWG in okc is run by greatwide and they couldn't find their rear ends if it was in front of their face. They had no idea what is going on.

 

Do you mean that they actually dispatch any loads ? We haven't had anyone find us a load since Dave Fergerson left the Mooresville NC Cheetah office.Thats been 6mo. I'll take that back,2 loads,they've given me,the rest I've had to find on my own
