Got finished with a PM in Olathe and while doing that, they installed a new QC. Going to take some getting used to with this touch screen and the way the msg's come in.

Well week one is over and OMG, failed the pre-trip eval the instructors give due to clipboardidse. My instructor told me I was a hamster on crack and needed to calm down. Doin decent on straight backing a 53' with a 04 Frieghtshaker and a 60". getting use to using the mirrors for the alley dock and offset backing. Having the most problem with holding the wheel to long before countersteering and not trusting the mirrors, but get to work on it some more monday. have fun gonna nap now LOL

Have a lobster roll for me at Dysarts.
They have pretty good food all the way around though. And I like the seating area. Everyone at long tables sharing space.
Like an old truck stop or logging camp. -
wow, what a day. I hit the mark w/o the instructor helping 3 times on the alley dock and 3 times going both directions on the offset dock. Had to do a pull up or 2 on the offset but I'm hitting the alley pretty good so next is the evals. Tomorrow i should start shifting, going around the block bobtail, then into traffic when the instrustor thinks I'm ready. Need nap, school is a 5am PST start and a 4pm end, so nite all.

The majority of backs you will do in the real world are ally backs, sometimes you have to modify them for the circumstances and obsticles around you, but you can generally use the same type of setup

Pull up's are your friend in the real world. If I need to pull up 3 times then I do.
Of course, if I have to pull up 3 times it means either I set up wrong, or that I did not have enough space between the hole I am going into and the truck in front of me. -
Pull up's are nice but with Idaho State I only get 2 free ones. The instructor did a state based eval on the 4 of us that started last week and only 1 failed, but they failed before they started, defeated attitude. Idaho makes you straight back 100', Offset dock (1 direction of your choise) and 90 degree alley dock with a don't pass line 70' from alley. I get 2 pull ups and 2 get outs each. I finally figured out what to look for so we'll see what happens. tomorrow is SHIFTING DAY, finally get to push on the fuel pedal, been idleing in 1st for a week. yahoo. Night day starts early
