name change number 3. superservice.

    So if you were on hometime or maybe you was in the shop. A fleet wide message went out yesterday7/19/10 that all 3 companies all under gts aka Michigan trucking will all be combined and called Super Service. Lct will also be super service but they will just be the refrigerated division.

    I'm not sure how I feel about all this. Part of me thanks this company is in trouble with yet another name change. Why keep changing the name if there not running from something. But I hope with this change the trips will improve..a little...maybe. but I think I'm gonna get out while I can.I Just gotta see the doc to get my blood pressure in check then I'm out the door. This company, while it was ok in the beginning has really rubbed me the wrong way in the pass 6weeks.

    What do you guys think?

    They are owned by an investor, who bought them to make money !!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I would assume he is going to do that by selling them.

    Wouldn't you think so ?

    Perhaps Iroc has an idea about it .

    now that a new name is going on my door, mabey we can get ezpass now as i sit outside boston.

    now i wonder if the gr dev and sumerset dev are going use temp dev trl and vise versa.

    Any one know how far back they look at your records? DMV,Background etc...

    not sure on specifics,but this is one of the easiest companies to get on with if your driving record is dinged..

    they might of changed recruiting tactics since csa2010,but i doubt its changed much..alot of turnover.

    mainly due to maintenance (lack of), strict idle time %'s, low pay and company safety rating are a few of the concerns.

    Can't be that hard to get on with them. Had one danged near take the hood off my truck in a staging area back in 2008. Should've let him do it, too. Then the minor preventable incident I had would've been a major preventable accident. Or not, depending on Safety...

    yeah getting in a orientation easy...staying even harder. i just left grand rapids and seen the 2 new hires. they told me they were once a class of 11...and only 2 made it threw. similar thing happen 3weeks ago while i was waiting to get assign to truck my 4th truck in 2months....class of 16 ended as a class of 4 new hires.

    its everything from failing physical,failing drug test,lying on application or more likely is failing road test which is the longest ive had w/ any company ive ever been with.

    the standards over-all are pretty low,but because its so low they attract alot of "characters",even as far as drivers go.

    I'm going to orientation next week. What can I expect when I arrive there? How long is the road test they have you do? Do you get good miles every week, or are the so so? I heard their equipment is not the best either. Any insight will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Be safe.

    road test is longer than most,nothing special.. miles are around 2500...

    they want you to log legally which is good in my opinion.
