Scarletpumpernickle- What business it is of yours if I responded to the post from THOMAS0810? Not that it is any of your business, but after leaving USA at 6 months, I run all week at .40c a mile, and go fishing everyweekend!

sure not USA fault, but humping all night to sit cause a Dollar Security guard is a newbie sucks. -
make the same three-fifty take home driving local class B,
but get to.... -
if u go to c1 driving school, after you go out with your trainer and get your own truck they start you at 25 cpm, if you go anywhere else for school, then they start you at 26 cpm, penny raise after 3 months, 3 cents after 6 month and then 34 cpm after you have completed 1 yr

A first year driver can expect a brand new truck of your choice, 3500+ miles a week. Guaranteed hometime, vacation anytime you want it and atleast 40 grand your first year!
-
quit breathing the diesel fumes, first year with get on average 2000 miles a week and will make about 25000 first year.. but it was funny

DON'T WORK FOR USA IF YOU LIVE WEST OF TEXAS...THEY DO LESS THAN 15% OF THEIR BUSINESS WEST OF TEXAS....
DON'T WORK FOR USA IF YOU LIVE IN THE EAST...YOUR AVERAGE LENGTH OF HAUL IS UNDER 600 MILES...YOU'LL RARELY GET MORE THAN 2500 MILES (AND THIS COMES FROM A HALF A DOZEN DRIVERS I KNOW EAST OF TEXAS)
I worked for them for over 16 months....DON"T WORK FOR THEM....unless you like 60mph trucks and excuses for hometime...had 3 dispatchers during that time (one fired, the second went on matrunatity leave, and her sub was terrible)...
DON'T WORK FOR USA TRUCK!!!! -
this was my first company right out of c-1 and personally if you want to make good money its just not going to happen as a student driver, but usa truck is a pretty bad company to get your feet wet with, d.o.t. seem to give you hell, trucks are governed, miscommunication with the fleet(especially nights and weekends),no pay no detention pay,no breakdown pay,no miles, ive had two 19 mile runs back to back and with docking and sitting this took about 10 hours for 40 miles, all usa truck is is a cash cow thats all they care about not you, everyone at usa truck treats drivers like a 2nd class citizen youll get no respect and if you do its all an act, once you hop in your own truck the shows over, dont risk getting into an accident and get stuck with this company for all you student drivers out there, it may be different for experienced drivers i cant really say but probably not end of story.

The above post is a perfect example of bad information. USA Truck does have Breakdown pay that starts right away, not in 24 hours. They also have Detention Pay.
Also, if you're running short 19 mile runs, then you should be asking for Local Pay for those runs. USA will pay you hourly instead of by the mile for those types of runs.
In addition, what companies don't have governed trucks? Also, the USA trucks are governed at either 63 or 64 mph, not 60 mph.
If DOT is giving you hell, then YOU have a problem, not USA. Did you pretrip your truck.
USA actually expects 1 in 3 drivers new drivers to have an accident in there first 90 days. That is just the reality and they won't fire you unless it was severe and preventable.
I don't know where you got your information, but you sound like another disgruntled driver who couldn't follow the rules. Those who can't follow the simple rules set forth and are determined to do everything their own way end up quiting or getting fired. Its a job, so act like a mature adult and do your job.venne Thanks this.
