Hey Baby doll !
Yea just shy of a month this time out. A few personal issues forced me to come home a bit sooner than I had planned. And next month I have to renew my license so I'll have to get back after roughly 3 weeks out in Feb. Normally the renewal would be pretty quick but I want to retain my HAZMAT so I have to take the test again and then schedule the fingerprint and homeland security screening so that will all take a couple days to get done.
I have to say I'm really pleased with how much WS has done to make things work for me. I "almost" feel guilty at times...LOL....NOT! Seriously though, it's nice to know that when the chips are down, they really do work with us.
I've had a wonderful visit with my family and friends between everything I needed to get done this time home. Tomorrow it's clean the truck inside and out and take care of all the maintenance as well.
You and Dave are always in my thoughts and prayers too sweetie but it's been a long time since we spoke. Maybe we can find a little time to chat soon.
Hugs and Kisses Darlin! XOXOXO

Hey there Chris, I'm taking a little liberty here.....
Ok Drivers...
most of you should be aware of the pending changes to the hours of service rulings. I have started a cause on Facebook to gain as much support as we can, to stop the FMCSA... Join the cause and invite all your FB friends to do the same. There is a link in the cause to the FMCSA web site and on the web site is a comments link...
LETS STOP THE FMCSA FROM DOING SOMETHING STUPID!

Don't think I have forgotten you! I started about four PM's and they (stupid laptop.....) get lost when I hit the mouse pad funny!
We do need to catch up-lots going on lately good and bad! The bad is just down right awful but hopefully some of the good is cancelling it out!
Give me a hollar or PM when you get a chance!
Miss ya lots~~ Hugs and kisses baby!XOXOXOXOXOX -
Welp, I'm home again. Pulled in here about 03:00 Friday. I have to wait until Tuesday to go renew my CDL because I need both the licensing and photo centers at the DMV and that's the only time both are open at the same time.....
I went back to work last Monday and sat in Sayreville all day with no load. I wound up with just two runs last week that... A) don't add up to many miles and B) I couldn't get them in on the same week. So after no pay yesterday, and the next two weeks pretty close to nothing, it's gonna be a tough month over all.
I sure hope things pick back up soon. Up to the new year things were very good. Since then it's been pretty tough to say the least for miles. I know freight slows this time of year but Geeeezzzzz LOL.
I was actually (finally) caught up on bills and thought this month would be my shot at getting an inverter, fridge and microwave. Welp, not yet it seems. -
I feel your pain! I went without a check once with WS but it was because of timing on getting my trip envelopes in.
At least your home, enjoy it while you can.
Off topic but I bought a bike after not having one for 15 years..AND tomorrow is going to be 57 degrees and sunny, Blue Ridge Parkway here I come
Take care driver! -
Congrats on the bike and ride safe brother! -
Hey Darling!
Good to hear you are home but suxs on the miles and pay.....but you are right seems like this time of year is slow for freight-right after the holidays people kinda shut their wallets up due to they are starting to get the holiday bills coming in.
It's suppose to warm up here in Rochester for the next few days 40s but not warm enough I think to get the bike out.....or try to dig it out !!
Hopefully things will pick up soon and you start getting miles again and catch up on those bills!
Hugs and kisses darling XOXOXOXOXO!! -
Here's my take on slow freight for WS this time of year, and it dove-tails with what Sammycat said.
Ok, people charge, and charge, and charge from November-December for Christmas. Then in January they start paying the bills, and don't buy a lot of furniture and/or carpet (WS's bread and butter), so our freight goes down. But, it will get better as they start spending the tax refunds to fix up the house with new carpet and/or furniture....only my theory of course, but makes sense to me! -
Ok, no posts here in 2 weeks. What's up? Where's Chris? don't make me text you? lol
-
i texted him like 3 hours ago still no reply...must be drivin or sleepin lol
American TruckerWedge Thanks this.
