I have been one to read all the threads, and talk to jct drivers, to me it seems to be the best gig going. I am going to ask the experts here, would I be better served getting into a 07? I ask this because of all the issues I had with an 08 pete and the regeneration. Are all the 08s and newer having these issues?

Like I said why would you invest a lot of money into some thing your not going to take care of and maintain. Your not talking to a newby driver.

You need to remember that soon CA will not allow trucks pre-DPF into the state. If I was pulling a reefer I would sure want to be able to go into CA.

LMAO # your comment "they will tell you any thing to get you there." if you did read the whole post, at least this one started by LMB, nothing on here is inaccurate!! EVERYTHING about the company is factual. If you believe something is inaccurate please share, i would love to know. I've been with JCT over 5 years now and NO I wasn't a company driver before, they stopped hiring company drivers well over 5 years ago!

Now you were complaining about the maintenance. I agree that the process isn't the most efficient, but as long as your maintenance is positive you can take your truck anywhere you want!! Also if you paid attention in orientation, i believe they tell you that any repairs will need to be authorized before you get it worked on! Trucks breaking down is part of our business, you probably have a lemon like some of our drivers do, it's not jct's fault at all if that's the case. It has been known that the DPF's have been having alot of issues!

like i said its not the most efficient way of doing it, but at the end they are the ones issuing the check, taking money of your escrow, they need to make sure you got money in your account first! Also even if you're in the red, you can still do the pm on the road, any other repairs they prefer you coming back to the yard!

Whose name is on the title???

Until your name is, it's not your truck!

Unlike a car lease, in this game the company still has responsibility and liability for the truck.

Also, I'm sure that it's written in the contract you sign, that you agree to these terms! If you don't agree to these terms? Don't sign the contract!
