Tell me how you do trying to sleep while he does Donner. I can't do it. I spend the whole time awake wishing I could just sleep. That is one of the places I cannot sleep at all

Jess, I would be a condo biotch in a heartbeat, but my issue is I want at least 160" so I can have a normal sized bed. This bed is killing me, of course it doesn't help that I have added 50 lb to my gut, and lex has added close to 70. I am actually looking forward to the new hos in hopes he will get out and walk with me. Of course I also have blown out two pair of tennis shoes. I swear, I thought it was bad behind a desk. This truck hardly ever stopping is killing me.

MamaMia, can't figure it out for the life of me why someone would need to buy an already prepared PB&J! Especially a frozen one! I think they pre-cut the crust off though! When my wife and I drove team we had a custom mattress made for us out of that memory foam. It is way better then those spring mattresses that come in the truck. The spring ones bounce to much while the truck is moving! The foam ones make a world of difference! Takes the vibration out of the truck to so that you don't get the "itchy nose" while trying to sleep with the truck moving!

Klingon, first time I took 89 I thought I made a wrong turn! Definitely a backwoods road! I tried to avoid this route in the winter as much as humanly possible!

Hey Poolplyntrucker, there are some really killer rest stops at the top of Donners. In the summertime I would take some time with the dog and go hiking on the Sierra Nevada trail that cuts through the rest stop. Beautiful hiking trail! A must do if you get the chance!

poolplyntrucker and Lady K Thank this.

We were at the point of changing this one, but lextec wants to change other stuff. I know we have worn this matress out as it was cheap to begin with. I guess it is an issue as what is important. If you can sleep through anything it is no big deal. I am the one who can't sleep

Mama mia me and my husband are teaming, I drove with my trainer talking me thru it, my husband actually slept right thru it. Then my husband drove back that nigh and I slept thru it! We are actually exhausted because there is 3 of us on a truck we're getting more miles than a team. In 7 days we've done over 6000 miles! So we seem to have no problems sleeping in a moving truck! Lol!

    Ladyk congratulations !

Chompi, not much of a hiker cause I'm a smoker! Lol

    chompi Thanks this.
