Yeah, I'll be here all weekend long (and possibly some more...) Let me know where you'll be, and I'll drive up there. I am in a small hick town called Porterville directly east of Tulare.

Since I talked to many contractors in Barstow that has been sitting there all week.... Then talked to a friend of mine who has been in Ontario since 1/31.... I can be optimistic

 

I think agents also have favorites they give loads to that never make it to the board. It is suppose to be nice this weekend in the southeast, I'm thinking about giving up and just deadhead home and start over Monday.

Got dispatched on a load to MO. only to get it cancelled 15 minutes later. Whats up with all the load cancellations?

 

Tommie said that Rainbow told him that 40% of Mercers fleet was in CA?
Where in MO was the load headed? All the snow had a lot of stuff messed up still. And it is the land of NO freight unless you deliver right to St Louis then its ok...lol

 

That may be true. I'm on Stockton's board. As of 5 pm Mercer time Friday, I was #41.

 

Sounds like I should wait to make a move to Mercer. I would hate to spend the money on a trailer and then get into a mess where I'm just sitting and losing money. I guess Universal isn't that bad of a deal for me for now. I still think there is a more profitable company out there but I'll keep what I have for now.

 

Talked with some LandStar drivers this weekend, all three said they don't move for less than $2,45/mile. I find that difficult to believe unless they wait a long time between loads or run a lot of deadhead. They wouldn't answer those questions and got defensive when I asked.
