intermittent miss m11

My m11 has a miss that is now and then, about 20 seconds then about 10 then 15 and so on. You can't feel at all but can hear it at the muffler, if it's an injector how can I find the bad one when it's not steady?

use Cummins Insite software to test injectors ore read stored codes with blink codes ore with dashboard. Erase codes, drive till you get missfiring cylinder and stored code and pull codes againe.
