Hauled a half truck load of clorox. 9AM dock time. Hit it by 8.50. Checked in and waited. And waited. And waited. I got a call from my fleet manager who says, remind them that you get paid retention. So I walked in and spoke to the Lumper Manager. "We don't pay it so we don't care". Ok says I. Got the green at 2.45. Walked in to get my paper work. The Dock Manager handed me my paperwork and of course me being me I said. "Oh, and if you folks are interested in a professional lumper service, I can refer some. We see the good ones all the time". I was lucky to not get mugged on the way out.
