Funny thing about this one.
The truck she was avoiding Never hit anything.
She went swimming for nothing. -
Yep! Hooraaah for the driver! -
Baffles me why people get out of their cars on a bridge in the first place. I was side swiped this November on I-90 in my van when I stopped to put daughter back in her car seat. A Swift driver waved his back end right into the side of my van and just kept going. Probably did not feel it. However I sure did and from now on stick with getting off the highway completely.
bulldozerbert Thanks this. -
Yep...the best thing to do is get off at the nearest exit ramp! Before i started driving i wouldnt think twice about stopping on the side of the road to do this or that! Not anymore!!!

Turns out her car did get hit, BUT would you take that chance? Standing there and staring down 80,000 pounds sliding on ice? As a medic I had a few too many close calls on the side of the road. It's funny how some criticize another's actions and in the end they'd do the same thing.Raiderfanatic and Roadmedic Thank this.

Amazing how large a vehicle coming at you is on the side of the road when working at a wreck. -
what did she do a belly flop off the bridge its not that high and numbing water in Ga. I doubt it. She wouldnt have lasted 10 min. if it was that cold and I doubt it took that long to swim do you know anyone who can swim constantly for 45min. Sounds a little over dramatic

She broke 1 vertebrate in her back. and had some brusing.
I drive across this bridge 3 times a day that day it snowed the night before and the bridge was a sheet of ice . Thank god she is ok.
She did the right thing to jump. Thers no room on that bridge just a 1 foot curb and get hit or jump i would jumpTravelinman Thanks this.
