how old are you kakos? if you're under 35 try to get an work and holiday visa, grab all your certifications that show your level of experience in truck driving, catch a flight to canada, show up on some trucking companies in person and try your best!
just a advice ;) maybe it will work out for you.

Another premier fleet! They are in eastern Canada which happens to have the highest unemployment rate in the country and YET they need to import workers. Does this make sense to anyone because it sure as heck doesn't to me.

If a Canadian fleet has to import truck drivers it's because no self respecting Canadian will work for them. That could mean they pay sub-standard wages, treat their employees poorly, have poor/unsafe equipment or there could be countless other reasons.

Figure it out people, there is NO SHORTAGE of truck drivers in Canada!

ANY carrier (Yanke) that imports truck drivers from off shore is a bottom feeder. Lots of qualified truck drivers in this country thus NO need to import them from over seas.

so they should let their trucks sit mt instead of importing drivers, just because they cant get enough teams ???
    that makes sense
that still doesnt say why they are a bottom feeder--is it because their equipment is old and ratty?
or because they pay 25 cpm ?

Pay more and they shall come. Obviously they aren't paying the prevailing wage or they wouldn't need to import labor.

There are some of the requirements for the foreign operators with Yanke at least.

We require a minimum of 5 years commercial driving experience with your HGV Class 1 (C + E) license. You must also be able to cross the Canada/US border and have a clear criminal record check. This is required not only for border crossing, but also to obtain landed immigrant status.

The requirement for a clear criminal record check also applies to family members. Again, this is to obtain landed immigrant status.
