If it is just the fan motor a new one cost $35 to $100 and in some trucks are easy to change. Save time and money and do it himself.
Post the type of truck and someone can tell you if it is a easy or hard one.

Thanks for your advice, but I just wanted to add, yes I posted 2yrs ago on a different subject. I haven't posted since because we are usually able to find answers to our questions from what the other kind folks have already posted. No death ears here :)

Nebraska and Wisconsin and Volvo has on their website that " North American Trucks (Mack Trucks, Inc. and Volvo Trucks North America) strongly opposes extending this consumer protection to a commercial product and customer, as there are significant factors that make heavy-duty trucks unique in the motor vehicle industry:"

Of course they oppose it - that allows them to be open so suits filed along the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act guidelines.

Last nite I heard a guy bobtailing from Chicago southbound on I-65. He was heading to Charleston, SC to turn in his lease/purchase truck back to the carrier.

Didn't make any money in 3 1/2 months...

His best bet is to walk away from it now I know a guy that owes a company $11K on a lease/purchase after less than a year now he is with another company doing the same thing

I'm not a lot of help. I definitely agree with those who say 'walk away'. This is yet another example of why a driver should NEVER lease from the company that controls his loads.
