While heading south on I-81 in VA this past thursday night I noticed that the northbound lanes were closed from about exit 213 to Raphine forcing everyone onto RT11.

Due to the divided highway I couldn't tell whether it was from either an accident or construction. This was around 8 p.m. From reading the forums it seems that around then is when a lot of ya'll are shutting down for the night.

My question is what do you all do when your running low on hours and encounter a situation like this? What about those of you with e-logs? I-81 in VA seems like one of those stretches with not enough truckstops/spaces/rest areas for the amount of trucks.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

There is a provision in the FMSCR for situations like this.

One of the joys of trucking. Finding a place to park.
