is it a spring loaded tandem puller you set it and then rock the trailer and it will pull the handle out and hold it out while you slide them

Bungee will do the same, and cost a hell of a lot less

I had one of those. Didn't work worth a #### either.

My 5th wheel puller did come in handy plenty of times though.

if I drop a trlr in one of our terminals that has a shop, and the trlr needs *anything, I write up a ticket for it, post it, then split! whether they do anything about it or not.. shrug.

a couple times, I've called in issues with trailers that are going to be dropped in a non-WS yard, and the shop's had me get repairs for them before dropping them. that kinda sucks.. cuz now I'm burning up my 14 hrs, and I'll be running late for my next appointment. and of course, no one's paying me for any of this. So I can see how some people might sometimes not report trailer issues. Not saying they shouldn't report them, just saying I can understand how they might not want to..

But what really surprises me is that when the next driver picks up the trailer and finds issues and reports them, that the last driver that dropped the trailer isn't given a phone call. The office definitely can figure that info out. Following up might make drivers more likely to report issues.

AT I do not mean anything by this but, I have to ask you, do you have proof of them calling driivers? I don't want to push in the puddle of mud but I have spoken with a many drivers and none of them have ever mentioned that they were called or that they had heard of a driver who was called, I sure hope you are right, personally I'm tired of getting these trailers and going to a for pay ehop and having to wait for someone elses mistakes, it cuts into my time and you know the saying Time is Money.

Yes i know for a fact they do, BUT only when someone reports the issue, if all you do is take it and fix it nothing will happen.

If you look back 100 or so pages in my thread i wrote about how Mark I beleive it was had called me about some bald tires (now he called me because he had thought I did it, when what actully happend was I was the one who FIXED the trailer) But he said when things get reported he Calls the drivers...

Why would you put up 3 pics of a WS truck. I leased to the flabed div. and I saw enough of them and that one is filthy. I'd be ashamed to put a pic of it on a board. I have never had a dirty truck even in the winter running Baltimore to Seattle. Sorry I just had to vent.

tandem: meet 18 inch crowbar...lol..the crowbar is my best friend when it comes to tandems. if the pin won't come out, the spring will pop out very easily...PLEASE be sure to put the spring back in..seriously, i have spent at the max, three minutes working with the spring...also, if the handle won't stay out(if the notch in the handle is worn flat) many times, i have wedged the crow bar in with the handle to hold it. pull the handle out, hold it up, put the crowbar under it, (in the small cut out where the handle locks) then push down the near end of the crow bar so the tip pushes up against the handle. it took a little practice, but after a few times of doing that, it was almost as quick as just locking a good handle into place.
