Two examples come to mind of unreachable truck stops. In both of these cases the truck stops were selected from within the gps using the promiles truckstops search. Houston,tx the loves truck stop. doesn't matter where you start from it won't route to it. Jerome,ID the flying J you cannot route to it. doesn't seem to matter where you start from. Normally I have the gps set to truck. 5 axle 80,000 pounds. However setting it to 3 axle bobtail or even 2 axle truck doesn't allow routing. I rechecked both of these while on the road today and neither worked from several locations, in each case I was readily able to route to my original destination. In neither of these examples is there a local truck restriction or weight restriction they are both immediately off interstate exits, In each case within 1/10 mile from the exit. thanks for your rapid reply. I hope this is helpful.

Our engineers have received conflicting information regarding the hours log timers. One source says that yes, we are doing it properly, but another source says that the description you provided is accurate. Both sources are equally reliable. Our engineers are in the process of confirming the regulations. It has to do with how the regs are interpreted, and the interpretation might be different for fleet drivers vs. independents. First our engineers need to do a little homework to clarify the regulations, and then based on the results we may or may not make a change. If we do make a change, then it would be available to download as part of a software update. After an initial review of the regs it looks like we may make some changes, but right now I cannot promise it. Stay tuned...

Makes no difference if you are a company driver or an independent, when the clock starts, you have 14 hours. At least for now...who knows what will become of the new hours proposals.

The Love's that I found in Houston is store #315 on Loop 610. I successfully ran a route from Dallas, using default truck settings. By "default truck settings", I mean that I chose a 3 axle tractor, 2 axle trailer, and then did not change any of the settings.

I then changed the width to 102" and the weight to 80,000 lbs and it still routed OK.

Maybe there is some other truck setting that is causing the problem. I recommend setting up a new truck, and then only change the width to 102" (because you probably are). Then try running a route. If it works, then go ahead and tweak the other truck settings as desired. If it starts giving a calculate failure, then you know that one of the settings is causing it. With a little trial and error you can figure out which one.

That's how I usually do it. I will ask for ALL of the truck settings, and then I try running the route using those same settings. If it fails for me too, then I go back and change one setting at a time until I find the one that causes the route calculate failure.

Feel free to give me your truck setup (weights and lengths) and I can double-check it for you. Also let me know the truck type and the load type. (unless you are hauling hazardous waste, don't bother choosing a load type)

Ok Bfrian. I'll try to start taking notes and give you specific examples. Here's one that just happened tonight. In routing me to the Flying J in Fargo, ND, at the top of the exit ramp, the Cobra wanted me to turn left, make a U-Turn, and then go back across the highway to get to the flying j. the truck stop was simply a right turn from the top of the ramp. thought that was very silly. fyi, was coming from I-94 westbound onto I-29 south to get there. try running that one.

IZ will definitely be feeding you examples soob.

    Thanks...

I ran it, and I saw the same thing too. Very bizarre. I have forwarded it to our engineers for analysis. I'll let you know what they find.

Our engineers have investigated and found an issue with the map data just at that particular location. It will be corrected in the next map database, which is due out in 2-3 months.

what about maps for Canada? Does this unit have trucker friendly maps of Canada or just plain gps ones?

HEY BRIAN, Did u get my email ???
Also i noticed its a little quirkey but that will happen. Just move ur starting point to the exit of a interstate if it wont give u a route. Sometimes from what I've seen all roads arent truck proofed yet. hopefully with the NEW update, all this will be fixed.

Really Like this 7750, great work BRIAN :D

I still have a similar problem with rest areas not showing up, regardless what I am doing to make them show up.
