My husband's boss today still preaches that to every single one of his drivers!

He sounds like a good boss. I am a big believer in the Captain of the Ship concept.

When a guitarist drops out, no one notices. When your bassist drops out, there goes the ship......I like to hang out between the drummer and guitar line and and sing backup. And I need to be able to watch the drummers kick foot if my monitors go down. I had a lot of work as a bassist, because there were a million guitarists in West LA and strangely not many bass players.......All right, so let me know when the T-Forum all star band forms up, I am there!

I played bass for quite a while in the 80's because nobody wanted a Jimmy Page style guitarist.......I rarely hung out by the drummer I was a total stage hog:biggrin_25523:

Yup the Black Hand Band....LOL that woulda been something if we could ever be in the same zip code:biggrin_2559:

I would make a great effort, I love to play and its been about 2 yrs since I was live. Sheesh. Well this is a busy industry, one can certainly sympathize I guess. At any rate, if anyone has mp3s, demos or tapes to share, I like listening to them. Here's a lil jam to start your day.

I was trained as a bassist, I am only recently playing guitar. I have a strat american, but my next guitar will be a Gibson ES-175.

I can play keys as well, and piano if anyone else wants to be bass. Its all good with me. If you guys ever wanna try again, I am banking away most of my days off, so I should be free as things warm up. If you have videos or songs, Nik, lilbit and co, let me know.

Billy Duffy (the Cult) is one mean axe handler and Ian is a fine frontman. Maybe we need to start a new thread. Go for it Nik!
