If I did not know me, I would not bet on me either.

Sure you can get into Canada. As long as you have enough money to apply for the pardons over and over again until they allow them all. Even then, no guarantee.
As for companies to hire you, probably there is someone desperate enough for a driver to bring you on. Don't expect good treatment or high pay, or even a new truck.
If you want to spend the money and try, feel free. Just don't come whining about not being able to get a job.

To be honest, I think getting into Canada might be the easier feat.
-
That would be true if I lost my passport whilst in Canada.

That guy is not me.

I agreee that it does not sound likely, but it is possible.
And that's the key. If it's possible, then I will get it done. -
Are your really that confident that I cannot?

I knew there was a reason I don't put a lot of stock in.......aw, nevermind.
I believe you will get your CDL and find a company that will hire you. There are always true bottom feeders willing to hire anyone, whether they have a pulse or not, can or can't speak English, US citizen or illegal alien and regardless of priors on their records. You will find one of these companies, I am convinced. You have the drive to do so.
Canada is another story. You have no control over Canadian laws and requirements. For now, Canada does not allow felons into their country. In Canada, DUI is a felony. You will either have to get the law changed...highly unlikely, get your record expunged...unlikely with 4 DUIs, or get a Queen's Pardon....lengthy, time consuming and aggravating, but slimly possible...depending on the ages of those DUIs.
Quite frankly, you kind of remind me of.....me. Pushing to do things apparently impossible and accomplishing extremely difficult goals. If you had placed a time limit on your wager of, say, within the year, I would bet against you. Since you have placed no such time limit on it, my bet will be in your favor.postmandav Thanks this. -
I genuinely take your post as a compliment. I have a very strong work history. I know I may have to work for a bottom feeding carrier for a short while until I am cleared to enter Canada or I can do someting else.
I will share a little of what I have learned about Canada's Inadmissabiltiy/Immagration laws. A 'pardon' is a term used to have a criminal offense expunged from a record for offenses commited in Canaday ONLY. For offenses outside of Canada, the word 'rehabilitation' is used.
Below is a link if anyone wants to know more.
