So my bf is a owner op and I go on the road with him. I am a authorized passenger...everything is all good with the company and everything, but one thing we are unclear on is if he gets a military load that picks up and/or delivers to a base, am I allowed to go on base with him? or would I need to wait at the guard house? Or am I flat out not allowed to be there? Someone please help me out with this ASAP because last time he got a load like this I ended up having to wait in a McDonalds for X amount of hours in the middle of no where while it was unloaded. Thank you!!!

My 8 year old son has gone into many bases with me.... But I also wouldn't dump him off anywhere.

I know many of people where their wife or girlfriend rides with them & also enter bases without an issue. Just carry proper identification.

From my experience you should have no problem. Just have a picture ID with you. If he has to go to a sensitive area for unloading they will have BOTH of you exit the truck and wait in a secured area.

I have been to a military base with my wife in the truck and I can say they were the nicest guys as they processed our truck in.

    You should have no problems.

It depends on the base..I've had some that allow my wife to go in and I've had a few that made her wait at the guard shack.
They usually let her in without any problems though.

Only had one experience with a military base. The passenger had an id card that was expired. They punched a hole through the birthdate, being aholes i think, gave it back to him and told the driver to drop him off up the road and come back to pick up the car.

The answer to your question goes like this..... As long as your BF has the authorization paperwork from the company for you to ride with him. You have a state issued ID card that is current and you have no warrents against you, then you be able to enter the base with him. Believe it or not, most bases now run all non military personnel through the FBI computer system prior to giving authorization.

that must be just for freight or at specific bases, cause i know three months ago all you needed to get on base was a photo ID... heck before i seperate i took my rig through the knox gate on bragg, and i had no tag, no IFTA, all i had was a bill of sale, and my military ID and i drove it on and off post like it was a POV, before i brought it home.

they must have started that FBI thing a couple of months ago or something.

The differance was you have a military ID. With that, they already know your good to go in the system. It's the folks that don't have the military ID. They're not sure what kind of record they have so they check them in the FBI database....

I think you have to accept the consequences if that comes to issue.
