Yes that's what I pay as well.
    Good luck to you.

    EDIT 2 hrs later...

Sorry to be so short above,,,comp./finger glitch.

If your truck is paid for then all you will be required to have is the B/T, & ocupational (workman comp) insurance. This saved me a ton bringing my monthly insurance bill down from $460.00 per month to less than 200 bucks. (SNI pays the cargo/public liability insurances.) Since my truck is paid for, I do NOT pay "comprehensive" insurance! I pay cash for my trucks & save appx. 12 grand p/yr on insurance. Many think this is foolish of me but if this truck is lost,,,I'll buy another and still have money in the bank leftover from NOT paying comp. ins. all these years. Something to consider.

BTW,,,just installed a new "AliArc" Canadian moose-bumper ;) on my RED 2004 Century so look-out for me and be sure to introduce yourself if ya see me at an o/c somewhere.

I'm sure you will do well w/SNI

Thanks for the info twolane I will look for you and one of these days we will run into each other at the one of the OC and coffee is on me and by the way I will be in Black Kenworth T660. Now that you have mentioned I will check with the Schneider about the insurance and yes my truck is paid off. Atleast no worries there. Hopefully will get the much needed miles to run smooth.

The contract is a little hard to understand as it doesn't show what they pay for in a good format IMO. The info is there tho.

Find the page with detention, shorthaul pay, trailer search pay etc.
This is the page that you need to really look at. SNI is hiding nothing and pays you for everything automatically provided you send/respond properly the macros required. That's what I was telling you above with the "arrive/depart" business. On your settlement you will see the DOE nat'l average fuel price along with the cpm surcharge. When you add all the accesorial pay to the base rate (.90 cpm) you will see that depending on load specifics, you will average around a $1.30 pm.
ie; If it's a short load with alot of detention you could see $1.70 pm for that load assignment.
SNI is the biggest fish in the pond with the nicest people I've had to do with. You are "family" when yer with Schneider.

    C-ya!

I will look at the contract very closely and finally got the truck today and all the required papers and off to orientation in the morning. I will keep posting everyday with the updates and if there is anything new that comes up. I do have a question about accessorieal pay whats included in it.

Thats the extra pay for the detention, trailer search, shorthaul, etc.
Anything above and beyond the base rate not including the FSC which you get for all dispatched miles. "Accesoral" pay is pay in addition to the mileage pay + the fsc.

Sure is nice hearing the good reports on this company. A number of years ago I worked for a firm that supplied finished food product to them in bulk. We had a mighty fine relationship, one of our finest clients.

Its 4th day and done with all the in class and Qualcom now tomm is the day for the Contract and rest of the paperwork. Glad my truck passed there inspection and also the fifth wheel. When dropped the truck of they were saying that they might will have to change the fifth wheel if it didn't meet the Schneider requirments but it did and all they did was install a plate in the front. Today its getting the Qualcom installed and hopefully will get the decals and Plates if they arrived from greenbay today, On the way though. One bad thing is that they have you in the class with the trainees and sometimes it gets hectic. Over all excellent no compalins and met my DBL he seems to be very understanding.

Here after getting everything done today while at the OC in Guelph received a message from the Doctor to call him back in regards to the medical I did and he stated that from the hair sample they found hydracodone in my system which I had no clue what that was and after asking few questions he explained that its a pain killer medication and is considered a narcotics which I told him that I have never been prescribed with such a thing but he said that he will send the findings to Schneider and its up to them. After getting home I did some research on Goggle and found that this particular so called narcotic is in most of the over the counter cough syrups and an average person does not no anything about it and we all just go most of the time and just pick them up and take them without prescription. But now here I'm who just smokes regular cigarettes and doesn't do Any drugs and have never done in the life stuck because of cough syrup taken for flu and can't do anything about it. Its just complete BS.

Has Schneider disqualified you? You should be able to discuss this with the Dr. now that you know more about the "drug".
